I think it's that way for a lot of things. I practiced piano for about seven years, and I had no motivation with it. Now, I can hardly read sheet music and have no interest in it.

However, I never went to Chinese school when I was younger, but now I'm really interested in the culture, traditions, and languages; whereas before, I would shy away from it, because I thought I was inadequate. I used to think that Spanish class was a pain, but more and more frequently I find myself speaking Spanish "just for the fun of it" and actually enjoying learning the language. c:
