Random Pokemon Talk
I kind of wish I kept a blog for playing Pokemon and keeping track of all the ridiculous things that can happen while playing.
Yesterday, I was playing HeartGold and trying to beat the 8th Gym. My Pokemon were severely underleveled (that's sort of how I roll; I fight the trainers I come across, but I don't have the patience for grinding against wild Pokemon), so I was "training" by going up against Clair, dying after I killed 3/4 of her Pokemon, and repeating. Her Kingdra kept OHKO'ing my Ampharos with Hydro Pump, but I was still trying to train my Lapras against her Dragonairs, so I didn't think too much about it; I figured I needed to buy an X Sp. Defense to counter that.
Then one round, I accidentally won. And the only reason was that her Kingdra's Hydro Pump...missed against my Ampharos. 5 times in a row. FIVE!!
That was a pretty mindscrewy moment for me.
