Ideal timetable for Project E
The fully finished draft HAS to be done before the end of this year. I'm really going to push hard to finish before September, because I'm going to have to write a 25-page research paper next semester for law school (urk).
I'd love to finish the first draft before the end of this semester, but hedging bets on school is always iffy because...school. Still, I'm going to be traveling for half the summer, and the other half would be an ideal time for me to have my beta-reader read the story and work on substantive edits. (I have two beta-readers in mind, both of whom are excellent and trustworthy; I could possibly get more if my sister has any friends who'd be willing to read and provide feedback.)
If I can't finish my first draft before finals period, I do have a 1-week window after finals and before I leave to travel. It'll be a tight window, though, since it usually takes me a couple of days to recuperate from end-of-school stress, and I'll have to pack, too. :(
So yeah, that's how things are looking for Project E.
