More Skyward Sword Impressions
Jun. 9th, 2011 10:22 amSaw some more demos of Skyward Sword.
Even though I was on board with the new art style ast year, I have to say, Skyward Sword is freakin' gorgeous. There's one area in particular in the demo with phosphorescent mushrooms that looked really, really nice.
I'm also impressed by the puzzles in this game. Looks like they're quite thoughtful and innovative and really require you to be creative.
Also, Zelda lives in Skyloft!! That surprised me, but I like how Link and Zelda have a relationship from the get-go and i'm really curious as to what Zelda's role in the game is. (Even though she gets swallowed up by that...giant air whale thing, I hope she's not as useless as in Twilight Princess. She was pretty awesome in OoT and WW.) Also, from what I saw of Link and Zelda's interactions in Skyloft, they're really cute together. <3
Hype level: +Infinity
Edit: Watched some more footage. From what I can hear, I'm really liking the orchestrated boss music. Also, Link is a lot more vocal in SS than in any other game. He not only grunts when fighting, but he also pants when sprinting, goes "Whoa" when tightrope-walking, and is just very noisy in general. Which I find pretty funny.
