Wordcount Milestone!
Jan. 10th, 2012 10:05 amEK I: 100 pages / 49,000 words
Still just shy of the 50,000 word benchmark, but this is the first time I'm dealing with a document with pages that go into the triple digits. Can't help feeling a little giddy.
The first draft should be finishing up within ten pages or so, although every time I go to fill in the last few bits, I always end up going off on a tangent. The second draft should expand significantly from the original anyway. I'll just have to wait and see.
I'm actually kind of eager to finish EK, partly because I've been thinking about it for so long, and partly because I've been feeling lately as though I can't seriously think about any other story until EK's finished, since EK is taking up so much "brain-space" right now. Which isn't to say I won't be sorry once EK is well and truly done; I think I'll miss it.
...What am I saying? I'm barely finished with only the FIRST out of THREE books!!
