I'm not quite done with revising Novel #3, but for the first time in literally 8-9 months...I feel like I've made progress???

My wordcount is back up to what the original draft's was, even though I technically still have two scenes left to fill in. However, I'm going to need to do an in-depth—possibly multiple—editing pass(es) to fix major consistency issues, and I have a feeling the wordcount will grow even more. Which is a good thing, because one of the indie presses I was planning to submit to if no agent takes on this manuscript has a minimum wordcount of 70k (5k more than my original draft).

I'm optimistic, but I'm also annoyed that my progress overall has been slowed down by the fact that (1) I can only write on weekends now, and (2) Real Life Obligations are always in the way (I have to do taxes soon, aaaaaaargh). I feel like I may, just may, be getting close, even though the revised draft right now is still kind of a mess.

It may take until the end of March to clean up my revised draft (if I were to estimate conservatively), and of course I'm going to need beta readers to give me their thoughts on the revision. I should still have time to enter RevPit, and everything after that will depend on how that turns out.
