Pointless blurbs about random video games

White Knight Chronicles: The MMORPG-esque battle system brings back my grudge against MMOs.
Darksiders: Is it me, or are the graphics terrible-looking? Also, I can't believe the game managed to rip off Zelda and God of War.
NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits (WiiWare): I thought it was a generic platformer, until I saw that part way through the first stage, you get LostWinds-esque Wiimote pointer powers. That piqued my interest...until I found out that the game is, apparently, really hard. (Not to mention platformers already make me feel anxious when I'm playing them.) I actually have nothing against easy games; I prefer being able to beat a game to pounding my heat against the wall because of a ridiculously hard level halfway through.
LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias (WiiWare): Argh, I STILL have yet to get this game. Watching NyxQuest has suddenly made me nostalgic for LostWinds.
World of Goo (WiiWare): It gets rave reviews all over the place, and my friend was trying to convince me to get it, but after playing the demo, I fail to see what's so spectacular about it. Yeah, it's a neat idea. Yeah, the music is rather nice. I still don't feel like it's my flavor, though.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord (WiiWare): I played the demo during break, and I thought it was actually pretty fun, for a tower defense game. Knocking heros off the third floor sure felt satisfying. Not sure if I'd actually get it, though...
Zangeki no Reginleiv (Wii): I don't know what this is classified as. RPG? Hack and Slash? Both? It's surprisingly bloody, too, considering it revolves around dismembering ogres and giants.
Xenoblade (Wii), formerly known as Monado: One of two new RPGs announced for the Wii this year. The trailer from last year looked very underwhelming, but maybe the combat and graphics have been polished since then. The music from the teaser site is lovely, although it reminds me a lot of Kingdom Hearts. Hmm...
The Last Story (Wii): The other of the two new RPGs announced this year for the Wii. I'm very curious about it, and how far the Final Fantasy influence extends.
