So. Finally got around to seeing The Dark Knight--because my mom wanted to see it, and I ended up creeping into the living room whenever I heard the Batman theme song. And then rewatching the entire thing two days later.

(Yeah, I'm scared by violence in movies...so what??!)

But the good thing is that I ended up liking the movie and overcoming my fear of the violence. Ironically, my mom, who's watched movies like Saving Private Ryan, didn't like The Dark Knight because of the violence, and my sister, who is ultra sensitive to violence, said, "Wow, the movie was a lot less violent than I thought it was!"

It's just so...profound. I've spent the year so far just looking for a movie with a sound, entertaining plot; forget about one that's deep and meaningful on so many levels. I still haven't gotten tired of turning the plot over and over in my head, looking for new meanings and connections among the events.

(Oh yes, and I thought the sky hook scene and Batman's Batpod were really cool. :) )
