Today is my twentieth birthday.

Usually I don't advertise my birthday on the internet, because I'm afraid of weird internet stalkers or something, but I had to mention this year because I'm now 20.

So a few times before today I had a mild panic attack at the thought of turning 20 because I just don't feel that old. (Apparently my sister has the same problem, because she keeps asking me how old she is, and I say, "Do the math!") I feel the same as I did when I entered college, really. And, I don't know, there's something kind of scary about that big 2-0, as if those two numbers together say, "Now you're old!" Despite the fact that I still pass for a 14-year-old. But I digress...

I had the best morning wake-up ever, because I saw two cards slipped under my door when I got up to brush my teeth (and I kept thinking, jeez, how late did people stay up buying and signing the card??). Actually, it's the first time I've gotten a birthday card in forever, so I was really touched.

Most of my day will be spent in a 4-hour lab, whoohoo. I'll try not to regret anything today. After all, this marks twenty years I've been alive on this earth, and for that I am truly grateful.
