So DmC redesigned Vergil: here
I have to admit, I like his design (better than Dante's, anyway). Then again, it has a lot in common with Vergil's original design: long coat, blue motif, fancy embroidery, slicked-back hair, overall classiness.
Not sure about Vergil's personality upgrade, though, in the trailer. He seems a bit too...straightforward. And creepily pleasant. (And talkative, since he was more of The Stoic in the original.) Anyone else think he's going to backstab Dante at the end and be like "Muahaha, I was EVIL ALL ALONG BRO!" ?
Also, what's up with the deadpan acting in the trailer?
Vergil: (monotone) You don't remember me.
Dante: (monotone) You're my brother.
Vergil: (monotone) Twin brother. I've been looking for you for a long time.
...Yeah, I'm sure Dante meets long-lost twin brothers every day.
Vergil: [not monotone, for once] This is madness, Dante! You'd risk the fate of mankind for a girl?!
Whoo, the dreaded Damsel In Distress/Gotta Save the Girl trope again!
Vergil: (monotone) This is it, Dante. We have to put our lives in each other's hands, without hesitation.
Dante: (monotone) We are brothers, after all.
Can someone say "cheesy"?
