Random Pokemon Post

rainwatersparkI booted up LeafGreen recently, after not having played it for...what...three years? Anyway, I realized I hadn't beaten the Elite 4, so after a lot of finagling, I finally managed it. The Gary battle was kind of epic for probably the wrong reasons; most of my team was severely underleveled, so a lot of it was me spamming Max Potions and praying for them to stay alive long enough to KO his pokemon (like with a lv. 39 Gyarados against lv. 61 Arcanine...haha...).
The team that made it to the Hall of Fame was kind of sucky. Onix was on it for no reason at all, and Dewgong was meant for crushing Lance but barely managed to kill one Dragonair. Basically, it was Raichu and Kadabra pulling 90% of the heavy weight, with Gyarados and Charizard occasionally helping out.
I realized I was pretty bad at training the pokemon I caught, because I have a lot of unevolved pokemon just sitting in the PC. But I did manage to catch Articuno and Zapdos! All that's left is Moltres (and Mewtwo), grr.
This is all making me pretty nostalgic. Maybe I should buy HeartGold...
