Project E: 66k / ??? words OH MY LORD HOW LONG IS THIS THING GOING TO BE
Literally at this point I'm just gunning for the finish line; I've been pushing almost 1k words a day to try to wrap up the first draft, since I'm on a tight deadline to get a draft of Project E to my sister before she moves. I probably won't have time to do my own round of editing, which is what I typically do before I seek out beta-readers. And yet I'd feel terrible if I gave her a crappy draft filled with plot holes, so I'm also feeling pressure not to give her something too awful.
My estimation is that the "first" draft will finish around 70k words (or less), which would make it the longest thing I've written to date. And the things I write typically get longer during my editing process...
(Also I've got to deal with course registration tomorrow or the day after for law school, which is a huge drag, ugh.)
