So...I've been experiencing a lot of fatigue lately, and I'm not sure why. (Maybe I need more tea...?)
I have my out-of-nowhere vampire x vampire hunter romance roughly plotted out, but I keep hesitating in terms of fully committing to it because, once again, I don't really intend to be a writer of genre (queer) romance; I'd rather work on a YA novel that I'm more confident I can break into traditional publishing with. And yet I keep getting stuck with my YA projects, for some reason.
I mean, I've thought of a way of converting this vampire x vampire hunter story into YA if I substitute "werewolf" for "vampire," yet I've been hesitant about that as well just because it feels too...conventional? I dunno; I guess my first novel, Project E, spoiled me in terms of unconventional, emotionally gripping stories. :/
