First off, that miniskirt. You call yourself a soldier, and you wear a freaking miniskirt? Not to mention how godawfully short it is. This has to be one of biggest common sense facepalms ever.
Secondly, that sword hanging off her waist. I'm actually somewhat interested in testing out how practical it would be to draw a sword from a sheath in that position (...just kidding). The more important, and more blatant problem, however, is what happens when Lightning's running. If she's running, that sword is going to be banging into the back of her legs with each step. Even if the sword happens to be made out of super-light metal (though keeping in mind it has to be durable if she can whack around armored beasts without it breaking in half), having this long metal thing bumping into your legs every time you run is going to hurt after more than a few minutes.
Thirdly, where is the armor? Lightning's arms and legs are almost completely bare, or at the very least not well protected. And you're telling me she's a soldier? Where is the logic in this? (And now that I think about it, shouldn't she be really cold...?)
Fourthly, Lightning's turtleneck underneath her vest-top ends above her midriff. That, to me, smacks of very bizarre fashion design.
Fifthly, okay, I get that capes are cool. And, yes, they're practically a fantasy hero fashion staple. Still, that doesn't excuse the fact that they're pretty impractical in combat. As is that trailing belt strap on her waist, and that free buckle near her collar, and that thigh pouch.
